Kia Ora, I'm Carly
After entertaining the airwaves as a radio presenter across New Zealand and Australia for 14 years, I switched gears. In 2010, I launched my own public speaking training venture, diving into the exhilarating realm of entrepreneurship.
Yet, by 2012, the siren call of a new challenge led me to a role as a national sales manager, where I inherited a keen team of seven scattered across the Kiwi nation.
This savory stint in leadership stirred up a medley of insights on how to lead, motivate, and drive a team’s performance using the magic wand of effective communication and CliftonStrengths TM .
Fast forward two and a half years, and presto! The organisation doubled from 500 to over 1100 members nationwide, orchestrated by a lively ensemble of 15 regional managers.
Now, at the helm of Communicate Powerfully, I’m on a crusade to share the power of effective communication. My style of facilitation? It's a cocktail of engaging, playful, and purposeful. I'm here to help individuals harness their awesome and echo their impact in the workplace. So, let’s crank up the volume on your inner powerhouse, and let the world share in the resonance of your voice.
Our Story
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
In a post-COVID world, we are inundated with requests to support effective communication skills and bring in-person connection back to the workplace. In early 2023, we felt the time was right to rebrand our business (which was People Realm Ltd) and focus solely on our flagship offering, upskilling individuals and organisations to develop mastery by developing effective communication skills.
Since 2012, we’ve been devoted to assisting individuals to reach their full potential, supporting people to build confidence in who they are, and being a catalyst for positive change.
Our mission at Communicate Powerfully is to support your people to develop self leadership skills to become effective communicators who drive performance and engagement across your organisation and we support individuals to develop the skills to speak up in group situations, navigate conflict effectively and share their message clearly. No more holding back, feeling unheard or misunderstood and no more feeling incapable of speaking up in fear of how you’ll be judged by others, because life is just too damn short for that.
We’ve helped thousands of people across Australasia, develop the communication skills they need to make positive change and it’s had a massive impact on not only their professional lives and career opportunities but on their personal, and home lives too.
Our belief is to be successful; whatever that looks like to you it starts with you; increasing your own self-awareness and looking at how you can improve your communication to improve your life and the lives of others around you. Developing self-leadership is key to mastery at work.
