What was the best piece of advice you were given?

In any moment you can choose the impact you make.

One of the most powerful insights I’ve experienced was the moment I understood the power of my thoughts and how our thoughts control our emotions, which influence our actions which determine our results.

When you strip it right back, if you don’t like the results you’re getting then you can work backwards taking 100% ownership of your actions and behaviours, what feelings lead you there and what thoughts were you entertaining at the time. Decide if those thoughts are working for you, or not and if not… you can change them.

It’s mind-blowing how powerful this seemingly simple practice is and from my personal experience, it’s a game changer.

What’s the best piece of advice you would give?

You are making an impact all the time, and you can choose the influence you have in any moment.

There is incredible personal power in doing the mahi to discover your awesome (your natural talents) own it (guts and glory) and then share it through creating meaningful work for you. Go hard out, no holding back.

What’s your go-to when you need inspiration? Who inspires you?

When I want advice, I go to my 12- and 14-year-old. When I need a hug and a cup of harden up, my husband Robbie. When I need grounding, my Mum who speaks in plain English and lays it out for me. Business stuff, an ex-work wifey who’s still my coach and mentor… and I have incredible mates who just fill my cup to brimming. Life is good.

What makes you tick/your why?

I have a relentless passion and enthusiasm to support people to see their greatness and drive positive change. I am committed to bring the energy, to be your cheerleader and accountability buddy for your goals and ambition. I want people to feel ace about who they are, be the driver of their own success and celebrate being that every single day.

What’s your favourite trait you’re most proud of?

My brother told me on my 40th birthday to continue to be a ‘positive engine of good.’ which was pretty rad to have reflected back to me. I love that I believe in the power of positive thinking, I’m optimistic and feel compelled to make a difference.

And I not only can, but feel very comfortable doing freaky dance moves, often in training sessions to emphasize a point or when the situation needs a little lightning up. I’m good with that.

What’s the first thing you do in the morning to start your day off right?

Coffee! Nuff said.

If you had three more hours in the day what would you do with it?

I love my work and probably do too much of it, so that extra three hours I would put into a morning dance-off with the kids and an extra couple of hours at the end of the day to either a) snuggle up with yum food and movie on the couch or b) have friends over for dinner, wine, and exciting conversation.

What does the world need more of? Less of?

I’m a glass half full kinda cat so more people to believe in themselves and their natural talents. Share your gifts through creating meaningful work. Discover what gets you up in the morning, grab hold of it, shine it bright, and share it through your work. The world needs you to discover your awesomeness, and use it to make a positive impact, whatever that looks like to you.
